چکیده

Random walks are studied on disordered cellular networks in 2-and 3dimensional spaces with arbitrary curvature. The coefficients of the evolution equation are calculated in term of the structural properties of the cellular system. The effects of disorder and space-curvature on the diffusion phenomena are investigated. In disordered systems the mean square displacement displays an enhancement at short time and a lowering at long ones, with respect to the ordered case. The asymptotic expression for the diffusion equation on hyperbolic cellular systems relates random walk on curved lattices to hyperbolic

Tracking performance of incremental LMS algorithm over adaptive distributed sensor networks

in this paper we focus on the tracking performance of incremental adaptive LMS algorithm in an adaptive network. For this reason we consider the unknown weight vector to be a time varying sequence. First we analyze the performance of network in tracking a time varying weight vector and then we explain the estimation of Rayleigh fading channel through a random walk model. Closed form relations a...

Community Detection in Complex Networks with Quantum Random Walks

Complex networks are structurally disordered systems that often display clustering behavior. The emergent clusters, also known as communities, consist of nodes that are more connected among themselves than they are connected with the rest of the network. Analyzing community structure is an important problem in network theory, with numerous applications in different fields. In this work I invest...

Random Walks in Random Labyrinths

A random labyrinth is a disordered environment of scatterers on a lattice. A beam of light travels through the medium, and is reeected oo the scatterers. The set of illuminated vertices is studied, under the assumption that there is a positive density of points, called`normal points', at which the light behaves in the manner of a simple symmetric random walk. The ensuing`random walk in a labyri...

Mean first-passage and residence times of random walks on asymmetric disordered chains

The problems of the first-passage time (FPT) [1, 2] and the residence time (RT) [3] are very important issues in random walk theory. Moreover, several properties of diffusion and transport in disordered systems are based in this concepts. Here, we do not want to present a survey of the enormous literature in the field of mean firstpassage time (MFPT) and mean residence time (MRT) of random walk...

Bloch-like waves in random-walk potentials based on supersymmetry

Bloch's theorem was a major milestone that established the principle of bandgaps in crystals. Although it was once believed that bandgaps could form only under conditions of periodicity and long-range correlations for Bloch's theorem, this restriction was disproven by the discoveries of amorphous media and quasicrystals. While network and liquid models have been suggested for the interpretation...
